These photos are parts of a collection called “Become a butterfly, a little more,” for my B.A. thesis project.
The photos are based on woman and her attitude towards herself in current Iranian society, and its combination with Iranian-Islamic mysticism in which woman has been the source of inspiration and beauty in poems of Iranian poets, in different centuries. Despite the fact that the current Iranian society has placed high importance in the presence of women in society, in many parts of the country women are still defined as creatures living behind curtains and at corner of houses.
I have noticed that women  in Iran still show no good attitude towards those with the same sex and evaluate their transformation and progress based on values unilaterally created and enforced by the opposite sex; whereas, any personal change begins from within, her own efforts and belief in herself; just like a butterfly.
